Why Choose MVP for Your Vein Care & Treatment?
Our Results and Experience Are Unmatched in the Region
Because… MVP Gets RESULTS
Please take a moment to see our before and after treatment results gallery. Here you will see before and after photographs of our actual patients, before and after treatment. You will not see stock images of other physicians' work as you will see on other websites. If you look around you may see our results posted elsewhere!Because…. All We Do is Treat Vein Disease
Maryland Vein Professionals is devoted exclusively to vein care, unlike other centers or physicians in the region that treat vein disease actually as a sidelight to another medical specialty. And they will not tell you this. The entire focus of our practice is state of the art, minimally invasive vein care. Unlike others, our facilities are designed exclusively for vein care. We have a team of Doctors, Sonographers, Sclerotherapists, and Administrative support personnel dedicated exclusively to your Vein Care. Most others offering Vein Care in the region do not offer sclerotherapy to treat spider veins, whereas our Sclerotherapists have over 40 years of combined experience. What type of doctor should be treating your veins? Veins are an integral part of the circulatory system and should be treated by a medical professional with the proper training, knowledge and experience with treating diseases of the blood vessels. Surgical Director and practice owner, Dr. Jonathan Calure, and his associate, Dr. Michael Banker, each hold two American Board Certifications, in General Surgery and Thoracic-Cardiovascular Surgery. If you seek care form a National Vein Care Franchise ask what, if any, Board Certification the Doctor holds. Additionally, at Maryland Vein Professionals, Dr Calure or Dr. Banker will perform the entire VNUS Closure procedure, not an assistant or technician who performs portions of the procedure, as they often do in other practices.Unmatched Experience You Can Trust
Dr. Jonathan Calure is the national leader in VNUS Closure, performing 6-8 treatments a day, six days a week. He performs more Closure procedures than any other single physician in the USA, and has held this distinction since 2007. Dr. Calure was one of the first physicians in the Washington-Baltimore-Annapolis area to perform VNUS Closure and has performed over 4500 procedures as of March 2009. Do not be confused by misleading claims of other practices that aggregate numbers of cases from multiple members of a group practice to even be comparable! Dr Calure has been designated as a national clinical trainer for the VNUS Closure Procedure by VNUS Medical, Inc. He has trained dozens of other surgeons from across the United States and Internationally in advanced vein care techniques. Maryland Vein Professionals is a National Center of Excellence for the latest techniques of minimally invasive vein care. See Dr. Calure perform a closure live on a nationally broadcast, morning news program. Because…Our Patients Love Us

Sclerotherapy Treatments by Experienced Staff
Sclerotherapy is an important adjunct to comprehensive vein care. Unfortunately, not all centers offering Vein Care or VNUS Closure have a Sclerotherapy Service to address spider veins. Maryland Vein Professionals offers Sclerotherapy as part of our array of minimally invasive treatment options for vein disease. MVP's chief Sclerotherapist, Mary Guise, R.N., has over twenty years experience doing sclerotherapy and has treated thousands of happy patients.
